GAWP'S H2Opportunity Undergraduate Scholarship
The Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP) established the H2Opportunity Undergraduate Scholarship for undergraduate students who enter a field of study leading to a career in the water profession. This scholarship is a $2,000 award and is non-renewable, but recipients may compete for the scholarship in subsequent years. The recipient will be expected to participate in at least one GAWP-sponsored event. Additional information can be found below.
• Applicant or applicant’s parents shall not be an individual member (other than a Student Member), or employed by a Corporate
or Utility Member, of GAWP.
• Applicant shall be a graduate of an accredited high school, or demonstrate that graduation will occur before August 1 of the application year.
• Work experience or an internship in a water-related field is recommended, but not required.
• Applicant shall be a resident of Georgia, or entering or attending a college, university or training school located in Georgia.
• Scholarship funds shall be used to assist in the cost of an undergraduate education or training program in a recognized University,
Community College, Junior College, Technical Training School, etc. This scholarship is to be awarded for studies leading to a career in the
water profession.
• A short essay (not to exceed 1,500 words) is required. The essay is to cover the applicant’s interest in, and intended course of studies
leading to, a career in the water profession.

GAWP'S PHILIP R. KARR, III SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Georgia Associaiton of Water Professionals (GAWP) established the Philip R. Karr, III Scholarship in recognition of his dynamic leadership and contributions to improved management and operation of public water systems and treatment facilities, and contributions to improved and expanded training efforts for operating personnel. This scholarship is a $2,000 award and is renewable for one year, contingent upon the student meeting established renewal criteria. Requirements for eligibility for this scholarship are as follows:
• Individual membership in GAWP is not a requirement for eligibility for this scholarship.
• Applicant shall be a graduate of an accredited high school, or demonstrate that graduation will occur before August 1 of the application year.
• Scholarship funds shall be used to assist in the cost of education in a recognized College or University graduate program.
This scholarship is to be awarded for studies centered on environmental engineering, water resources, water quality, or related fields.
• A short essay (not to exceed 1,500 words) is required. The essay is to cover the applicant’s professional goals in environmental engineering,
water resources, or related fields, and the applicant’s intended use for the scholarship.
• Selection criteria shall be based on applicants’ college credentials (e.g. Grade Point Average). Applicants may be interviewed by
the GAWP Scholarship Committee

Brown & Caldwell Minority Scholarship
The Minortiy Scholarship program was developed to help minority groups succeed in the environmental engineering industry. This is a $ 3,000 scholarship and summer internship. Application deadline March 1st. Candidates for scholarship must meet the following criteria:
• Be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
• Be a full-time student enrolled in his/her junior year at an accredited four-year undergraduate college.
• Have a declared major in civil, chemical or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences (e.g. geology, hydrogeology,
biology, ecology, industrial hygiene toxicology).
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent on a 5.0 scale).
• Be a member of a minority group as defined by the EEOC (e.g. African American, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific Islander, Native American
or Alaska Native).
• Participate in a summer internship at a Brown and Caldwell office, if selected.

Brown & Caldwell's Eckenfelder Scholarship
The Eckenfelder Scholarship program was developed to honor Dr. Eckenfelder’s 50 year career in training undergraduate and graduate students in the science and art of industrial wastewater treatment. help minority groups succeed in the environmental engineering industry. This is a $ 3,000 scholarship and summer internship. Application deadline January 31st. Candidates for scholarship must meet the following criteria:
• Be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
• Be a full-time student enrolled in his/her Junior, Senior year or graduate program at an accredited college/university.

Camp Dresser & McKee’s National Forum for Black Public Administrators Scholarship
To assist the NFBPA in its mission of attracting the best and brightest African Americans to careers in public service, CDM sponsors a $5,000 scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to an African-American graduate or undergraduate student pursuing a career in public administration, urban affairs, or a related public service field.

American Water Works Association (AWWA) Thomas R. Camp Scholarship
Sponsored by CDM, the Thomas R. Camp Scholarship provides support to outstanding students doing applied research in the drinking water field. Camp Dresser & McKee’s United Negro College Fund Scholars Program
CDM, in association with UNCF, has established an annual scholarship/internship program for six students who have a 3.0 grade point average or better and who are majoring in a variety of engineering, science, or construction disciplines, such as environmental, chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, and geotechnical, or will be pursuing a master's degree in one of these disciplines. Camp Dresser & McKee’s Lawler Scholarship (Northeastern University)
Camp Dresser & Mckee's (CDM) Lawler Scholarship was established in memory of one of the firm's foremost-thinking CEOs, Joseph C. Lawler. Mr. Lawler was a staunch supporter of his alma mater, Northeastern University.
The university's Civil and Environmental Engineering Department considers the Lawler Scholarship its most prestigious scholarship offering. Each year, the department selects the undergraduate students who will receive the scholarship. Students do not complete a formal application process.
Abel Wolman Fellowship
The Abel Wolman Fellowship is designed to support promising doctoral students in the U.S., Canada and Mexico pursuing advanced training and research in the field of water supply and treatment. Scholarship award can be up to $ 20,000 and is renewable for a second year. Deadline: January 15 Annually

Sponsored by CH2M Hill, the Holly A. Cornell Scholarship encourages and supports outstanding female and/or minority masters students in pursuit of advanced training in the field of water supply and treatment. This scholarship is a $ 5,000 one-time grant.
